The residents of Lolgorian area of Transmara West sub county were yesterday left in shock after discovering the body of a male adult along Lolgorian – Kehancha road.
A boda boda rider Joseph Mwita who discovered the body said he was heading to work when he spotted the body lying on its back along the road.
Joseph added that it was more shocking because the unidentified body was thickly covered by red ants on the head and legs and that the face of the dead man was completely disfigured.
Narok county police commander Kizito Mutoro who confirmed the incident said that the authorities were yet to identify the body of the man as his face was disfigured by the red ants.
Kizito said the deceased is believed to be at the age of 35 years but couldn't identified his body.
The body was taken to Kilgoris Mission Hospital Morgue pending autopsy and identification.
Mr Kizito called the members of the public who have lost their relatives to register their complaints tothe nearby police station to help the police with easy identification of the body.
Several cases of unknown bodies found dumped beside the road, water bodies and bushes have been on the rise in the recent past within the region after a body of a 59-year-old man was found dumped in a thicket beside the road at Kojong’a area, Narok East Sub county.
