VIDEO:- Sifuna's Motorcade Blocked By Thousands Of Mombasa Residents While Heading To Tononoka

Before their convoy could reach Tononoka Grounds, they were blocked by thousands of residents who flooded the streets, forcing the motorcade to slow down as crowds danced and marched alongside them towards the already packed venue.

The leaders, among them Edwin Sifuna, Babu Owino and James Orengo, were met with overwhelming excitement in Mombasa, where supporters turned their arrival into a spontaneous street procession.

Hundreds quickly swelled into thousands as residents abandoned their daily routines to join the convoy, singing, chanting slogans and dancing in support of the Linda Mwananchi movement.

The situation brought traffic to a near standstill, with the leaders’ vehicles inching forward through the human traffic.

The charged atmosphere reflected growing support for the faction that has openly opposed ODM’s recent decision to support President William Ruto’s administration.

Supporters waved and recorded videos, while others walked for long distances just to accompany the leaders to the rally venue.

Security officers struggled to manage the surging crowds as the procession slowly made its way through major roads leading to Tononoka Grounds.

By the time the leaders arrived, the venue was already filled to capacity, with more supporters still trying to gain access.

The Mombasa rally is shaping up to be a significant political moment, highlighting deepening divisions within ODM as rival factions continue to differ on the party’s direction ahead of the 2027 General Election.
