There was a tension on Tuesday morning in Mathare when estate, Nairobi County after dramatic murder suspect fights off police officers in broad daylight.
The suspect identified Samson Nagur was busted out by police officers from Huruma area at around 7am on Tuesday morning after killing her University girlfriend yesterday night.
According to police reports, the accused had killed his girlfriend yesterday night in a suspected love triangle.
Huruma area deputy police commissioner Angeline Mwangi who confirmed the incident said trouble started when two men came into the suspect’s house yesterday asking for the girl whereabouts when dating later turned tragic.
Samson is reportedly said to have confronted her lover over the issue and the two later differed when he grabbed a panga and slashed the girl on his forehead.
She later succumbed to her injuries while being rushed to local private hospital in Eastleigh area.
The rude suspect was later arrested two hours after the security officers called for reinforcement from Nairobi police station.
He is curently booked at Muthaiga police station undergoing police interrogations.
The victim was a second year student taking bachelor of environment studies at Kenyatta University.
It is alleged that they had been dating for close two months when the incident happened.
The body of the girl was moved to City mortuary awaiting postmortem.
