RIP: Beautiful Photos of Mombasa Businesswoman Who Was Killed After Night Party at Boyfriend's House

Photos have emerged of a Mombasa businesswoman who was brutally killed after a night party with friends.

Elizabeth Nina, 34, was found dead in an unfinished building at Senti Kumi, Shelly Beach, Likoni, Mombasa County.

Her family said she had told them she was visiting a friend before she went missing.

Elizabeth ran a boutique in Likoni selling second-hand clothing. Police have launched an investigation into the shocking killing.

On March 18, Elizabeth left home around 1pm to celebrate Idd-ul-Fitr at her boyfriend’s house less than a kilometre away.

She was five months pregnant and appeared cheerful, according to her sister, Everlyn Kamene.

Four days later, her body was discovered dumped in a partially developed building nearby.

Ms Kamene said her neighbours later called to ask if she had seen the news and sent her a photo of a body, but she could not recognise it because the clothes were different.
She added that her sister had changed outfits after arriving at her friend’s place. Elizabeth leaves behind a four-year-old son.

A friend, Kishindo Bamama, was among the last to see her alive.

Ms Bamama said she saw Elizabeth around 7pm when a young man whispered something to her, after which they left in different directions, and that was the last time she saw her friend.

Likoni police boss Joseph Mutungi said the body showed bruises on the face and swelling on the ear, likely caused by a blunt object.

Investigators believe the murder occurred elsewhere before the body was dumped. Fingerprints have been taken for forensic analysis.
Elizabeth’s body is preserved at the Coast General Teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary awaiting post-mortem.

Likoni MP Mishi Mboko condemned the killing, saying it reflects a disturbing pattern of violence against women.
